RSF and Helmholtz Association invite proposals for the second joint call

The first joint call with Helmholtz Association was announced in December 2016. The thematic priority areas of that call were Big Data and Biomedicine. The new joint call is focused on Climate Research, as well as on Energy Storage and Grid Integration.
 
According to call documentation, a foreign partner within the international team must represent one of the 18 research centers of Helmholtz Association:

−        German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE)
−        GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research
−        Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ
−        Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI)
−        Helmholtz Centre Potsdam - GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences
−        Helmholtz Zentrum München - German Research Center for Environmental Health
−        Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie
−        Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf
−        Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht Centre for Materials and Coastal Research
−        Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)
−        Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in the Helmholtz Association
−        Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP)
 
Project review will be carried out with both Russian and German parties independently. Funding will be awared for the proposals recommended for funding by the experts from the both countries.
 
The size of one RSF grant is from 4 to 6 million roubles per project per year, these research projects are planned for the implementation during 2018-2020.
 
Proposals can be submitted until November 30, 2017 with results announced in July 2018.

The next, third joint call for proposals is planned to be announced in September 2018 focusing on research in cutting-edge areas of physics and materials science. The results of that call will be available in the summer 2019.
